One of many things I like about my son is that he’s a movie buff like me. When he was younger I introduced him to many great films (Godfather series, Dirty Harry series, Fistfull of Dollars series etc etc).
He is 18 now and for the past few years he has introduced me to movies that I might not otherwise have seen. Last night he lent me the DVD of “Drive” (2011) starring Ryan Gosling. I’m a fan of Gosling having first seen him in the film “Fracture” (2007) with Anthony Burgess.
Nightcall by Kavinsky is featured in the opening credits of Drive.
Nightcall
I’m giving you a night call to tell you how I feel
I want to drive you through the night, down the hills
I’m gonna tell you something you don’t want to hear
I’m gonna show you where it’s dark, but have no fear
There’s something inside you
It’s hard to explain
They’re talking about you boy
But you’re still the same
There’s something inside you
It’s hard to explain
They’re talking about you boy
But you’re still the same

This isn’t bad but, given the state of your back, something from Spinal Tap might have been more appropriate…
Bill, very good but mustn’t laugh too much cos it hurts!!
LOL at Bill’s comment – sorry Dumdad. x
I haven’t heard this one before. The jury is still out on it…
Bonjour Dumdad. How oddly comforting to know that you are still here, with all your family members and your Musical Mondays and all that. I see you’ve moved to WordPress. My Gone Back South days are … well, gone … but now I’m blogging again under a different (my umpteenth) name. Personally I would rather gnaw my own arm off than listen to this song, but please don’t take it personally. Lovely to see you again
