Home not quite alone

I drove my wife and daughter to Gare d’Austerlitz for the midday train to the Auvergne, where they’ll be staying with The Outlaws for the weekend.

My son and I (and cat) are staying in Paris. I’m still the master chef and chief bottle washer, albeit with fewer clients.

I got back from the station and prepared steak and French beans for me and son. Very nice.

The Frog Queen has stacked the fridge with various ingredients for me to cook and prepare so that we don’t wither away while she’s away.

I’m going out for dinner tonight (son will have to look after himself) but I think takeaway pizza will be on the menu sometime this weekend. Oh yes.

  8. Shammy, I’m sure I’m a bad dad but he is 18 and often goes out into Paris with his pals without me! Bad son.

  9. Adore the cartoon and the mental images of steak and french beans – Oh, so very French, Sir! Oh, and do remember to feed Scabrous!
